Welcome to the Official Shoestring Websites Web Design Blog
Note 21-Nov-2012: Shoestring Websites has rebranded to Squelch Web Design. This post has been kept for historical reasons.
Welcome to the Shoestring Websites Web Design blog! This is our first blog entry where I’d like to say “hello” and “welcome to the site”. We’ve been live for a few months now, but I’ve only just found time in my busy schedule of building other people’s websites to actually sit down and write some content for my own website.
Firstly a little about what I do:
I build websites. It’s that simple! It’s what I love doing and it’s what I want to do for the rest of my life. Up until August (2011) I worked for the company that owns Jokers’ Masquerade, Fancy Dress Warehouse and Simply Fancy Dress as their web developer, but I wasn’t satisfied with what I was doing and so left to start my own web design / web development company to supply cheap web design services to small and medium sized companies in the UK.
I’ve spoken to so many small companies who’ve said the same thing: We simply can’t afford the crazy prices most web design agencies are asking for, but we desperately need a website. I’m here to help fill that gap in the market by offering my services as a dedicated web design specialist to all the small and medium companies out there that need the skill of a seasoned web professional in a package they can afford, taking them all the way from no Internet presence all the way to trading online and beyond.
Here’s what one happy customer had to say:
“I was seriously impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and patience I received from Matt at Shoestring Websites. I am really happy with the end product and others have commented how much they like it.”
I’m not here for the hard sell, I’m not going to shove my service down your throat. My work and professionalism speaks for itself and I trust you will look around the website and decide for yourself. That’s all for now, but do check back often. I plan to use this blog to provide free information on getting started in business as a small company, how to maintain a basic website, and tips on getting a free website if you truly cannot afford to pay a web designer to do the job for you!
Have a great day.
