Write your blog
We cannot stress this enough: WRITE A BLOG! Don’t just “have” a blog, WRITE your blog.
We have a bunch of articles on this blog about how often you should blog (ideally every work day) and how much you should write (ideally at least 300 words, but don’t force it). But ultimately the one thing you need to strive for is QUALITY, not quantity.
Once you’ve written an article share it everywhere. Put it on Facebook, twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, … whatever you use, get it shared there. Add it to your email signature. Mention it to anyone who talks to you for the next 48 hours, just get the word out!
And then, in a month or two, share it again. Share it whenever it’s relevant.
“Did you see the football last night? What a shambles!”
“Yeah I know exactly what you mean. In fact it reminds me about the article I wrote about service providers in the food industry, you should check it out!”
Okay, maybe that one’s a little too contrived :)
