As a proud new local flower shop owner the customer needed a complete branding: Logo, stationery, business cards, shop signage, Facebook page and website. Sourcing all of these things from separate companies would cause endless logistical problems so the customer was very keen to have them all done by one agency. They also needed producing quickly since the shop was to be opened on a particular date.
Squelch Design went through a complete design process with the customer providing all branding for the new business. Since the client’s business was also creative this made for a fun challenge, finding a good balance between refined and modern. It was obvious when we had found the right design and then we moved onto the website: A customised off-the-shelf theme for WordPress that could really show off the boutique nature of the shop.
Willow & Blooms are typically at the very top of Google for almost any search relating to flowers and florists in Newbury due to the SEO work we performed on the website after it went live. For such a young site to get so high in Google so quickly is almost unheard of and all at Squelch were very proud of this achievement. The customer is now run off her feet, and working hard to keep up with demand.
The existing website, while tidy, was starting to look a little out of date. It was time to refresh the look of the site and grow it. The customer was keen to start selling flowers online, which meant rebuilding the site as an e-commerce solution.
Working closely with the customer we redesigned the website in a new modern theme that they had fallen in love with. We added WooCommerce to the site and configured it to work with their existing payment gateway and deployed to new web hosting for optimum performance.
A modern web presence that reflects the company’s growing status within the local economy. The new website showcases the breadth and depth of Willow & Blooms’ work, and is easy to maintain by the customer allowing them to realise the site’s potential.
